PIX Payment - Brazil

PIX is a real-time payment system developed by the Central Bank of Brazil, designed to enable fast, secure, and cost-effective money transfers 24/7. Launched in 2020, PIX allows individuals, businesses, and government entities in Brazil to make instant payments by simply scanning a QR code or entering a PIX key, which can be an email address, phone number, or a randomly generated identifier. Unlike traditional bank transfers, which are subject to banking hours, PIX transactions are processed within seconds, even on weekends and holidays.

Start a PIX transaction In order to enable PIX real-time tracking payments through a QR Code, a request must be made to the GetNet API and it will return the following details:
  • qr_code: URL where the QR code can be accessed,
  • payment_id: Unique identifier for the PIX payment,
  • status: status of the transaction,
  • generated_at: Timestamp for the QR code generation,
  • expires_at: Timestamp for the QR code expiration.
